Dear Praying Friends,
The Bible makes it clear that there is only one Savior. God reveals Himself in the Old Testament as Israel’s only Savior. Jesus Christ is revealed in the New Testament as the only Savior who died on the cross for our sins. We point out to polygamists that they have made polygamy their savior, or co-savior, because of their doctrine of Polygamy for Salvation, polygamy or destruction. But there’s only one Savior, and its Jesus Christ the Redeemer.
In a recent conversation with a former plural wife who has recently become a Christian the topic of who or what we should live for came up. It was evident that polygamy and Jesus are equated in their minds as equal saviors.
The lady who left polygamy was discussing her conversion with a friend, she said previously she gave her life for polygamy when she should have given her life to Jesus. The friend replied that living for polygamy and living for Jesus is the same thing!
We thank you for your support and prayers that enable us to continue to bring Biblical truths to polygamists.
From Mormon Teachings: One of the ordinances of the house of the Lord is baptism for the dead. God decreed before the foundation of the world that that ordinance should be administered in a font prepared for that purpose in the house of the Lord.” (Teachings, p. 308.)
NOTE: Baptism for the dead is necromancy and prohibited by God in the Biblical record:
Leviticus 19:31 “Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.
MORMON POLYGAMY HISTORY
~ It all began with Joseph Smith ~
“Among all the duties devolving upon mortal man there is none of more importance than that of marrying in righteousness. The Lord has considered
this institution of so much consequence that He has ordained authority that has the power to determine as to the number of wives a righteous man may have. There is no station in life, however high and responsible, that will exempt the righteous from appealing to this authority.
Joash, the king of Israel, though a good man, yet had no right to take a plurality of wives without the consent of the authority which God had ordained: hence we read that Jehoiada, the priest "took for him two wives and he begat sons and daughters" (2 Chron. 24; 3.) That Joash did right in receiving these two wives is evident from the preceding verse: "And Joash did that which was right in the sight of the Lord,
all the days of Jehoiada the priest," (verse 2.)
The whole history of Jehoiada shows that he also was a man of God and was permitted to live one hundred and thirty years; and when he died, "they buried him in the city of David among the kings, because he had done good in Israel both toward God, and toward his house." (2 Chron. 24: 15, 16.) These passages prove that the Plurality of wives was given to this good man by the authority of Heaven. The very first time that Hosea obtained the word of the Lord, it was about getting married. The passage reads thus: "The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said unto Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms." (Hosea 1:2.) In obedience to the word of God, Hosea "went and took Gomer, the daughter
of Diblaim."(verse 3.)
And when this woman had borne unto Hosea two sons and a daughter the Lord commanded him to go and take another woman--an adulteress (Hosea 3.) Here, then, is the most positive proof that God commanded a holy
prophet to take a plurality of wives. If the beginning of the word of the Lord to Joseph Smith had required him to do the same things that Hosea did, Who would have believed in the divinity of his mission? Orson Pratt, The Seer, pg 139, Celestial Marriage, September 1853.
NOTE: Orson Pratt errs in his explanation of these scriptures. He has left out text and ignored context. The focus of doing right in God’s eyes is NEVER polygamy, but it is obedience and rejecting idolatry. Hosea did not marry a second wife but twice rescued his one and only wife from prostitution. Jehoiada, the priest was wrong in choosing two wives for Joash in light of Deuteronomy 17:17 and Joash was wrong when he married the two wives.
FROM OUR MAILBOX
“Joseph Smith did not decide to implement polygamy. He was COMMANDED by God to do so, and obeyed. And it is not about legally having sex with several women. My wife died 5 yrs ago and I love her dearly. I have decided to stay single. But had I married another woman after her death, it would have been accepted by society. In the resurrection, would I have to choose between the two of them? I'm sure I would love them both. So if I could keep them both then, why not now if it is the law of God? It was the U.S. government that forced the end of plural marriage and the prophet was commanded by the Lord to put a stop to it. Otherwise our temples would have to be closed and no more built. And the work for both living and dead would be frustrated! (Do you know how many LDS temples there are now?) What about Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? They had more than one wife. At the great supper of the Lamb; when invited, they will most likely sit close to the Saviour. Would you really want to associate with a bunch of "whoremongerers" like them? The laws of God are higher than the laws of man. Stop trying to change them." --KS
ANSWER: There are numerous errors embedded in this argument: 1) Jesus said there are no marriages after this life, making most of what he said invalid. 2) Temples are not in God’s program today. Believers are the Temple of the Holy Spirit. 3) Isaac was not a polygamist. 4) It’s useless to “guess” who will “most likely” sit closest to Jesus at the marriage supper. 5) We do not try to change God’s laws, but use the Bible to show that it is Mormon doctrine that has changed God’s laws.

TERMINOLOGY DIFFERENCES:
FORGIVENESS According to Mormonism:
The law of forgiveness embraces the following requirements:
Godly Sorrow of Sin.
Abandonment of Sin. (stop doing what is wrong.)
Confession of Sin. Restitution of Sin. Obedience to all Law.
Mormon Doctrine, pgs. 271-273
FORGIVENESS According to Biblical Christianity:
Complete forgiveness for all sin is given to everyone who turns to Jesus Christ by faith. Colossians 2:13; 1 John 1:9.
Acts2:38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in
the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive
the gift of the Holy Spirit.
THEY SAID THAT?
“Priesthood is the means to exaltation. The priesthood is the power and authority of God delegated to man on earth to act in
all things pertaining to the salvation of men. It is the means whereby the Lord acts through men to save souls. Without this
priesthood power, men are lost.”
Mormon President Spencer W. Kimball, The Teachings of Spencer W. Kimball, pg 494
POLYGAMY IN THE NEWS:
Another lawsuit against the Kingston polygamy group was filed in January. Katherine Nichols is suing her former husband — who is also her uncle — claiming she was trafficked and pressured to marry him. The lawsuit also names as defendants the polygamy group and Paul E. Kingston who is Nichols’ grandfather and leader of the group, also called the Order. Nichols is also suing Daniel C. Kingston, who is her cousin, he us also her uncle and her husband as his third wife. She was 16 and he was 19.
“By coercing girls like Kathrine into underage marriages and pregnancies under these circumstances,” the lawsuit says, “the Order makes girls dependent on the Order which contributes to the extreme difficulty of leaving.”
She is suing the defendants under federal trafficking statutes.
Her complaint includes photos from what she says were three wedding ceremonies she had in three states, Rhode Island, New Mexico and Utah. Nichols became pregnant at age 16 and gave birth at 17, the lawsuit says. Another pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage. A third pregnancy was aborted over concerns about health of the fetus.
Another topic in the lawsuit Nichols describes is that at or about age 10, her blood was tested and stored in a database meant to determine who within the sect can marry and produce healthy children. Incestuous marriages of the Kingston group have resulted in birth defects, the plaintiffs explain.
Nichols left the polygamy group when she was 19 years old, and the judge gave joint custody of their son. A perfect example that the courts care little that the children of incestuous polygamous marriages are left in homes that groom and condition them to grow up and marry multiple wives most of whom are related in more ways than one.
Nichols had been forced to marry her cousin who is also her nephew. Incest, polygamy, coercion, and marriage to minors are illegal in the state of Utah.

ANOTHER JESUS?
The Book of Mormon claims to be an authentic history and another testament of Jesus Christ. Actually, it’s a testament of “another Jesus.” Mormonism claims the Book of Mormon validates the Bible, gives a better understanding of the Bible and is the Bible’s best friend. However, doctrine in the Book of Mormon overrules God’s grace therefore invalidates itself.
Example from the Book of Mormon:
2 Nephi 25:23: “For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.”
God’s Grace PLUS anything – is not Biblical salvation by grace alone. All Mormonism – LDS and polygamists, believe a person MUST be part of their particular group because it’s the only correct religion. That idea by itself is adding something to Grace therefore denying God’s biblical gospel of eternal life by grace alone through faith in Jesus’ finished work on the cross.
One viewer said to us that there are over 50,000 Christian religions, how can we know what is right when there is that much confusion. But there are not 50,000 Christian religions, there’s not even that many denominations.
There are so many historical, linguistic, scientific and spiritual errors in the BoM it’s a shame to even align God with the book. There have been almost 4,000 changes to the Book of Mormon – despite their claim it’s the most perfect book on earth.
And surprisingly the Book of Mormon condemns and prohibits polygamy. It calls polygamy a crime and wickedness.
BoM, Jacob 2:24 “Behold, David and Solomon truly had
many wives and concubines, which thing was abominable before me, saith the Lord.”
Praises and Prayer Requests:
- URGENT PRAYER REQUEST FOR “L”. she was born and raised in polygamy, we helped her get out, she has embraced Jesus as Lord and Savior, started bible study. Yet when she began personal bible study, she started having horrible nightmares bringing up the horrors of her past. She stopped the Bible studies and is having a difficult time. Please pray God will break the stranglehold that Joseph Smith, polygamy indoctrination and past experiences hold over her.
- Pray for the several lawsuits in queue against different factions of Mormon polygamy groups.
- Pray God will intervene in the LDS plan to teach polygamy to their children.
- Pray to “S” and for “A” . Both are out of a polygamy group but their husbands hearts are not. Both ladies are now born-again, baptized and attending Christian church.
- Pray for A Shield and Refuge ministry, that God will supply resources and more and more opportunities to help.
