The creed of Mormonism includes the belief that their Book of Mormon is true, and that the bible is true “only” as far as it is translated correctly. However, there is no set standard for which passages are trustworthy. There are thousands of documents and manuscripts that support the accuracy of Biblical Scripture, but there isn’t a single shred of authentic evidence supporting their Book of Mormon.
Jesus said in John 8:44 that Satan is a liar, there is no truth in him, he is the father of lies and cannot tell the truth. John 14:6 Jesus said, “I AM the truth….” Yet Mormonism believes the lie and rejects the truth of what Jesus taught. A great portion of their doctrine contradicts Jesus’ teachings so by necessity they deny that what Jesus taught is translated correctly.
BUT, HAS GOD APPOINTED THEM TO EDIT HIS WORD??
Jesus said there are no marriages after this life. Mormonism teaches that people are married for eternity and the Fundamentalists teach they will have polygamous marriages for all eternity. They don’t believe what Jesus taught.
Its difficult to discuss these things with the faithful polygamist or LDS member. They have been repeatedly gaslighted into accepting Mormon doctrine, they cannot think outside of their box. What a tragedy that they reject the truths of God found in the Bible and accept the lies of the devil who cannot tell the truth.
2 Thessalonians 2:8 ... they refused to love the truth and so be saved. ESV
Please continue to pray for these dear people that God would open their eyes and hearts to grasp the truth of God’s Grace.
We thank you for your support and prayers that enable us to bring Biblical truths to polygamists.
MORMON POLYGAMY HISTORY
~ It all began with Joseph Smith ~
Fundamental Mormonism includes not only polygamy, but the belief that God continues to give progressive divine revelation to His people. We have selected a few alleged revelations as claimed by the early polygamous leadership.
Received by Mormon President John Taylor, Continuation of Plural Marriage,
27 September 1886 Centerville, Utah:
“My son John: You have asked me concerning the New and Everlasting Covenant and how far it is binding upon my people. Thus saith the Lord: All commandments that I give must be obeyed by those calling themselves by my name unless they are revoked by me or by my authority, and how can I revoke an everlasting covenant; For I the Lord am everlasting and my everlasting covenants cannot be abrogated nor done away with; but they stand forever. Have I not given my word in great plainness on this subject? Yet have not great numbers of my people been negligent in the observance of my law and the keeping of my commandment, and yet I have borne with them these many years because of the perilous times. And furthermore it is pleasing to me that men should use their free agency in these matters. Nevertheless I the Lord do not change and my word and my covenants and my law do not. And as I have heretofore said by my servant Joseph: All those who would enter into my glory must and shall obey my law. And have I not commanded men that if they were Abraham's seed and would enter into my glory they must do the works of Abraham. I have not revoked this law nor will I for it is everlasting and those who will enter into my glory must obey the conditions thereof, even so, Amen.” --John Taylor Papers, Church Historians Office
The Bible explains that no further revelations from God are forthcoming.
Hebrews 1:1-2 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, ESV
We know there is only one mediator between God and men and that Person is Jesus Christ:
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus… ESV
We can know these alleged revelations are only figments of their imaginations. We can know it because we know that Jesus alone mediates God to us, the leaders of polygamy groups are not mediators of God to the people.
Update on Samuel Bateman’s polygamy:
Samuel Bateman is the latest self-appointed leader of the FLDS polygamists aiming to take the leadership from imprisoned Warren Jeffs. He was accused and arrested for kidnaping, tampering with evidence, and transporting underage girls.
On December 28, 2022 he plead not guilty to the charges. On February 7, 2024, four of his wives and one other follower plead not guilty to multiple counts including transporting minors to engage in sexual activity.
Bateman is accused of taking more than 20 wives, 10 of which are underage girls. Bateman forced all of his wives to have sex with both him and his male followers, regularly participating in orgies he called "atonement ceremonies," according to an FBI investigation.
Counts against the self-proclaimed prophet and leader of the FLDS include 18 counts of using interstate commerce to entice minors to engage in sexual activity; 12 counts of transporting minors to engage in sexual activity; transfer of obscene materials to minors; destruction of evidence; and kidnaping.
When Bateman was arrested in 2022, nine of his minor wives were taken to the Arizona Department of Child Safety. But Bateman’s adult wives abducted the girls from state custody.
Two of his wives have plead guilty to kidnapping and other charges.
Prosecutors during the Jan. 18 hearing described how Bateman’s first wife forced her 10-year-old daughter to strip naked while watching Bateman have sex with his other wives, and distributed pornography to the child brides. Her attorney painted her as a victim of Bateman rather than an accomplice.
There remains more wives and followers to be arraigned. The trial is scheduled for September 10, 2024.

“By definition, exaltation includes the ability to procreate the family unit throughout eternity. This or Father in heaven has power to do. His marriage partner is our mother in heaven. We are their spirit children, born to them in the bonds of celestial marriage” (Achieving a Celestial Marriage, 1976, p. 129).
We continue to share some of the sermons preached by polygamy group founder/leader Rulon C. Allred. Knowing what he taught helps obtain a better understanding of the relentless grip he has had and continues to have on polygamists throughout Mormon Fundamentalism:
“Through the prophet Joseph Smith, we have learned that we descended from the Gods, that God in heaven begot our spirits...I want to bear you my solemn testimony as a servant of God that as Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, so is Adam the father of our bodies and our spirits. That we are as near to God as we are near to Adam…
I thank God that this holy doctrine, along with other glorious doctrines, were revealed to us by the Prophet Joseph Smith. He stands second only in glory among the exalted children of men.... Joseph [Smith] the Prophet came nearer to perfection perhaps than any other mortal man.” Rulon C. Allred, Treasures of Knowledge, pg 254-255
We regularly challenge those in Mormonism, both polygamists and LDS members, why they believe they are following Jesus but in reality they don’t believe what Jesus taught. Mormonism places its members in a religious “bubble”. They believe only what they’ve been taught by their religious leaders, they are brainwashed to believe they are the only true religion and gaslighted by the promise that their leaders will never lead them astray. They cannot think outside their bubble and when doubts creep in, they don’t dare go to outside sources for fear of being lost to the devil for eternity.
So when they are told that Adam is our God, that Adam is the father of our bodies and spirits, they believe it. But Adam is not God. God created Adam—Adam disobeyed and sinned against his Creator. If Adam is God, the next step is the God is/was a sinner.
Allred preached that Joseph Smith was nearer to perfection than anyone else and stands 2nd in glory—the first being Jesus Christ.
Rulon Allred was no servant of God as he claimed he was. Jospeh Smith, a proven false prophet, is reverenced as highly as Jesus Christ by many members of Mormonism. Please pray for them.
“I appreciate your giving links to important historical records and teachings of former Mormon leaders that have been relegated to the dustbin where today's Mormon leaders hope and trust they will be forgotten or never even known about. How dishonest. “
“I love your passion for telling the truth about the lies of the Mormon church.” --GS
“I grew up in the AUB [polygamy group] too. The brainwashing is real. Jesus Christ is the healing answer. Questioning our beliefs is important.” --JE
From our FaceBook page:
“ … I am about to take over as Prophet of the FLDS, there will be a lot of changes made starting with being called the NFLDS (New Fundamentalist Ladder [sic] Day Saints) there will be no underage marriages, no more than 5 wives, no more splitting up families, or kicking young men out without a reasonable doubt, married couples can have relations again, the children can have toys again and go to parks and play, there will be courtship allowed before marriages to see if the couples even like each other, and no more God squad to intimidate the gentiles out of Colorado City, who are just passing through.” --PC
- Pray for our weekly Bible Study that we will have continued faithful attendance, and that even more people will come to learn about the beauty of God’s mercy and grace and His salvation without polygamy.
- Praise for one our bible study attendees who prayed to God for forgiveness after one of our weekly studies.
