Dear Praying Friends,
Doris

Recently the leader of the LDS church, Russel Nelson, spoke to the world in their semi-annual conference talk.  As he was speaking to current members of his church, he said: “Lazy learners and lax disciples will always struggle to muster even a particle of faith."

Of course, all of Mormonism is a pseudo-Christian religion not holding to Biblical truths or the orthodox Biblical Gospel. Many members who learn that they have been lied to about their history and their true doctrine exit Mormonism. Nelson is using their typical and ungodly response of shaming those who dare to learn outside of their own authorized resources.  Actually, those who DO NOT study to learn the truth are the lazy and lax. We are commanded to test ALL things, to search the Scriptures for truth, to test the spirits, to reject false prophets and teachers of a false gospel. Polygamists hear what their leaders teach but do not check to learn what God has to say—they accept men’s testimony but ignore God’s own testimony about Himself and about Jesus.

We thank you for helping us proclaim Jesus’ voice to the hurt and dying world of Mormonism and polygamists. They don’t know the Word of God nor do they trust most of what they read in it.

We thank you for your support and prayers that enable us
to bring the Good News to polygamists

SUGGESTED READING:

To help our readers understand the struggles polygamists face, we present suggested reading material which may give you a better understanding of the dark world of Mormon polygamy. This month our featured book is entitled, Born in Polygamy, by Rebecca Kimbel. Her book is 1 1/2 inches thick and contains a huge amount of information, so we will be reviewing it for the next couple of Newsletters.  We also focused on this book with a couple of our shows which you can watch at:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfdNP-3Yu6s.

We continue our review of Rebecca Kimbel’s story in which the reader can easily understand that being raised in the polygamy group was a living nightmare for her, one that seemed to never end.

We quote from page 25, “Women and children are the wealth of Polygamy. Plural wives receive aid for dependent children as unwed mothers. Female children become brides...they produce more children, which increases the size of the Polygamist families. In turn, this produces more young girls for trade. The promise of a child bride draws many men into Polygamy.”

Rebecca’s mother was the sister of the leader of the group, she had six children. Rulon, the leader, wanted to place her daughters in marriage to increase his exalted position. But her polygamous husband wanted to choose the marriages for his own daughters. A struggle between them ensued and it was the children who suffered. They were taught in fiery sermons that polygamists are the Chosen of God to establish God’s work on earth and they are the Royal bloodline of the “priesthood”. Rebecca wondered about this since her family existed in terrible unrelenting poverty.  She writes on page 27: “I struggled with identification. Was I royal blood? And if I was, why did the lady who stopped to ask for directions refer to me as poor white trash? I struggled, hunting for meaning and knowledge… Mama always said the Lord chastises those he loves. I was afraid. If God loved us any more, I wasn’t sure we’d be able to stand it.”

Her father was an angry and violent man, during some of his rages he would attack her mother or the children.  She writes this from page 34, “Where the hell have you been and where is your damn welfare check he growled… Dad angrily insisted that Mom and us kids could bring in enough to support ourselves… if she didn’t have enough to eat it was her own fault."

He then turned on his son Ray, and beat him mercilessly. From page 35, “...we saw Mom crying and holding Ray...Mom held him in her arms. She thanked God when she found that he was still breathing.. Mom held Ray in her arms and wept. “I don’t know how to protect you from your father, I really don’t.. I can’t protect you from him. I don’t even know how to protect myself.”

MORMON POLYGAMY HISTORY

Excerpted and condensed from: Mrs. Alice Young Clawson; Life Among the Mormons, pgs 288 - 290; By the Wife of a Mormon Elder. 1872

The following are excerpts of a conversation between Brigham Young and a potential plural wife he had set his sights on:

I received a note from [Brigham]. He requested me to visit him immediately. He was seated in a large stuffed, and cushioned chair, with all the emblems of his dignity about him. He wore a long, loose robe, embroidered slippers, and his repulsive countenance showed to the greatest disadvantage. "You are very lovely,' he said, and drawing back my head on his knee, he attempted to kiss me. I shrank from his touch, as from the sting of a serpent, and rising up, requested him to inform me of the business he wished to communicate, that I might depart.

"Depart, indeed; why no, my charmer, your home is henceforth with me."
"No, sir," I answered, "you are mistaken there."
His countenance grew dark with suppressed passion, "It is my pleasure to take you for a wife," he said.
"But it is not my pleasure to receive you for a husband, you are well supplied with wives already."
"Not so well as I wish to be, and then it was revealed to me that I must take you."
"Nothing of the kind has been revealed to me, and until it is, I must persist in declining your offer."
He seemed really surprised at my audacity, in placing myself on equality with him, and there was an expression in his countenance, and a gleam in his eye, that made me shudder. " And do women ever have revelations about these things?" he said.
"I suppose so. I know of no reason why they should not."
"You require instruction, I see," he said.
"And I shall be happy to receive it, provided it is of the right kind."

Because of the length of this conversation, it is continued until next month in this space. It particularly illustrates Brigham Young’s low opinion of females.

IN OTHER NEWS:

A GREAT BIG thanks to the lovely people in Gehring Nebraska who invited our ministry to speak at their conference entitled, “RELEASED”. The theme was focused on Letting Jesus be Jesus in You! In Him, Christians can be released from everything and anything that causes us to struggle. Of course, those trapped in Mormon polygamy need to be released from a false gospel and the wrong savior.

A special thanks to James and Lynn Adams and their family for their “over-the-top” gracious and loving care and all the wonderful Christians who came to the “Released” conference and left with a better understanding of Mormonism as well as Mormon polygamy.

Frontier School of the Bible located in LaGrange, Wyoming also invited us to share with their students what our ministry is doing with polygamous communities.  https://ww.frontierbible.org

It was encouraging and refreshing to see so many young adults excited to learn more about cultural Mormonism. Their desire to share God’s biblical truths with those trapped in Mormonism’s false gospel is inspiring.

Speaking at the Women's Luncheon
Karen Bradshaw was the 3rd wife of a polygamous man and is now a Christian. She shared her story of being “Released” from polygamy into Jesus.
Sharing our ministry outreach to polygamists with the students at Frontier School of the Bible.
Fellowshipping with Tina Hudson. She and her husband Wayne shared messages of encouragement with attendees of the conference. They are from the Complete In Christ Ministry.

Whenever possible we accept invitations to speak about what our ministry is doing in our outreach to contemporary Mormon polygamists.

FROM OUR MAILBOX:

“It seems many have confused their drive for sex and money with the Holy Ghost. The urges they feel are physical not spiritual and they are either psychopaths or too dumb to know the difference.”  GS

“How about the simple golden rule? Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. It wasn't God who created DUAL STANDARDS. If men who advocate polygamy had to share their one and only mate, they would know that polygamist wives are as happy as he would be if he had to share her with a bunch of BROTHER HUSBANDS.

The Mormon church hides the origins of their religion and their harmful doctrines. Which woman would want to join a church that said that polygamy was a part of the requirements for men to become gods? Which woman would want to marry a man who thinks he will be a God one day and that this entitles him to have as many wives as he sees fit .... It is shocking …”  KR

“Oh! You Jewish Roman Soldiers! How dare you attack the holy Prophets, Apostles, and Disciples of the true Church of the house of Israel, the Church of the living Lord, your living Savior who gave his life for your Dark, Evil, Dammed, and Hellish souls.”  J.S.

“Joseph Smith doesn’t have to be around to get away with all his filth... he sowed the filthy seeds that are still flourishing today.”  HB
