February is generally set apart as the month we celebrate our LOVE for special people in our lives. It relates more specifically to romantic love, the love sweethearts have for each other, the love spouses share with each other, but also the love of friendships, some that can outlast other relationships. The greatest of every human activity is love: 1 Corinthians 13:3,13.
The greatest love that can be expressed is unconditional love that is extended to even the unlovable. That love was demonstrated by God through Jesus Christ on His Cross at Calvary. Although humans can never achieve perfect love towards others, “love thy neighbor as thyself”, we are certainly able to work towards that goal and perhaps help make the lives of others a better experience.
God also expects married couples to exhibit their love through their actions and treatment of each other. Paul the Apostle told Christian husbands to love their wives as Christ loves His church and “gave Himself for her.” We often wonder how a polygamous husband is capable of loving multiple wives to that extent. Not that polygamists ARE Christian, because they are not. But all of Mormonism claims to be a Christian denomination, which they aren’t.
However, in claiming to be Christian, they often quote the Bible in a twisted way, to support their unique doctrinal dogma, polygamy being one of those doctrines. Their use of the Bible to support false Christianity is one of the many challenges we face as we minister to folks in the polygamous culture. We may use the same Biblical ‘sounding’ language, but we are not talking about the same things. Our question to them focuses on God’s eternal love for us, and asks, how could our loving God ever expect polygamy for salvation?
Thank you for your support of this ministry!

Prosecutors said more than 40 suspects have now been identified in connection with the November 2019 killings of the Fundamentalist families in Mexico. In the first week of January 2020, three men have been arrested and charged with organized crime for drug offenses, though no homicide charges have been made yet. They said four other suspects are being held under a form of house arrest. Local media reported the police chief had been in the pay of the La Linea drug gang. Julian LeBaron, who lost relatives and friends in the ambush, confirmed the police chief had been arrested, and added, "That should be very worrying to everyone... He (the police chief) was there for 13 years...”

More financial scams by the Kingston polygamy group?
The Utah based Kingston polygamy group has allegedly skimmed from federal student aid programs by telling teenagers to omit their fathers' and other sources of income when applying for benefits. They filled out the student loan applications leaving off pertinent family information including their polygamous fathers’ names. The Salt Lake Tribune reports a leader in the Davis County Cooperative Society, also known as the Kingston Group, is accused in the scheme, according to a lawsuit filed in May in Salt Lake City’s federal court.

It is a completely different world for us who were born and raised in Mormon Fundamentalism. We were brainwashed from the cradle to believe that those not in the group were our enemies, not to be trusted. Sometimes we hear people say about the victims of polygamy, “Why don’t they just leave, just walk away?” It isn’t that simple! To help understand the dilemma we faced in our attempts to leave, we have been suggesting reading material written by escapees who have successfully entered the world outside of Mormon polygamy groups.
This month our featured book is entitled, “The Witness Wore Red” written by Rebecca Musser. She was born and raised in the FLDS polygamy group. Rulon Jeffs was the leader/prophet and while in her teens, Rebecca was married to him becoming his 19th wife. He was 85 years old. He was Warren Jeffs father. He married 48 additional wives after Rebecca.
Quote from page 139:
“On September 8, 2002, Rulon T. Jeffs passed away. He had prophesied that he would never die, and we had believed him. We all relied on the Prophet for our eternal salvation. And Rulon had promised he would be renewed. Even as we prepared for our Prophet’s funeral services and the people mourned, we kept expecting Rulon to bang on the lid of the coffin and demand to be let out! But there was no sound.”
After Rulon Jeffs death, his son Warren became prophet, he was intent upon forcing Rebecca into another plural marriage. She escaped before it could take place.
Rebecca was now on the outside looking in, she became very unsettled about the crimes, abuses and under-age marriages that were going on inside the FLDS community. So she became a prime witness against Warren Jeffs during his trial. Quote from the inside flap:
“The following year, as a team of Texas Rangers raided the Yearning for Zion Ranch, an FLDS stronghold, Rebecca was called to the scene, advising law enforcement to an outcome that avoided bloodshed. Her subsequent testimony revealed the horrific secrets behind the temple’s closed doors, sending the leaders to prison for years, and Warren Jeffs for life.”
Rebecca would become a witness against Jeffs, but she writes that the FLDS were great at manipulating laws, which delayed the impending trial over and over again. In the meantime, she had married a man of her own choosing, but her marriage began to suffer, her husband’s family treated her as an enemy within, friends and family would call and say their children would burn in hell for testifying against the servant of God. Warren Jeffs had forbidden the FLDS people to wear red clothing, but Rebecca wore red as she testified against the man who had taken maniacal control over the FLDS people and their religion.
The Witness Wore Red reveals great insight into the FLDS and the trial that sent Warren Jeffs to prison for life.
Mormon President Brigham Young: “Admit, for argument's sake, that the "Mormon" Elders have more wives than one, yet our enemies never have proved it. If I had forty wives in the United States, they did not know it, and could not substantiate it, neither did I ask any lawyer, judge, or magistrate for them. I live above the law, and so do this people. Do the laws of the United States require us to crouch and bow down to the miserable wretches who violate them? No. The broad law of the whole earth is that every person has the right to enjoy every mortal blessing, so far as he does not infringe upon the rights and privileges of others...
You may circumscribe the whole earth, and pass through every Christian nation, so called, and what do you find? If you tell them a "Mormon" has two wives, they are shocked, and call it dreadful blasphemy; if you whisper such a thing into the ears of a Gentile who takes a fresh woman every night, he is thunderstruck with the enormity of the crime. The vile practice of violating female virtue with impunity is customary among the professed Christian nations of the world... but they are struck with amazement when they are told a man may have more lawful wives than one! What do you think of a woman having more husbands than one? This is not; known to the law, yet it is done in the night, and considered by the majority of mankind to be all right. There are certain governments in the world, that give women license to open their doors and windows to carry on this abominable practice, under the cover of night...”
To talk about law and good order while such things exist, makes me righteously angry, Talk not to me about law.” ~ Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, Vol 1 pg 361
NOTE: Yet Joseph Smith and Brigham Young himself (and other Mormon polygamist men) took for plural wives women who were already married and living with legal husbands. What a hypocrite!!
“Doris it has been a year since you ... gave me the courage to send my letter to the LDS Church to have my
name removed. Having only Jesus in my life now and able to wear a cross has made me realize how grateful I am to you for your program. Thank you! PC
“I’ve been watching you since your inception ...you and Bishop Earl have taught me a lot and I’m deeply grateful! Keep up the good work!! Oh and by the way, your show is NOT boring! It’s very educating.” EW
“I'm from the Netherlands and not a Mormon. 8 Years ago I visited SLC and drove on my way to Zion National Park through Colorado City. Since then I'm fascinated by this strange church (cult) and its offshoots. Mostly AUB, FLDS, Kingston group etc. Can't wrap my head around some of these groups and there strange teachings. I've seen all of your shows. So informative but shocking at the same time.” LH
“I’ve been watching and listening to your channel on YouTube for about a year now, this is why I have reached out. Thanks for bringing out the true history of Mormonism and polygamy. The back ground of my own history with polygamy is helping me see through the lies of Mormonism. I’m just really confused and scared, not wanting judgment for asking questions even with Christianity. I’m kind of like a child with new eyes and asking so many questions.” BM
- As we continue taping and releasing programs on Polygamy: What Love Is This? - we are always looking for those who have left polygamy to have the courage to tell their stories publically. Please pray God will release more and more people from the bondage of fear that has held them captive all their lives.
- Please pray for Rachel seeking therapy for two of her daughters who are suffering from the backlash and mind-control of having been in the custody of their polygamous father for several years.
