Well, keep in mind, it's God setting the standards, not you. Who knows, maybe you aren't so bad. You might even be a really, really nice person--well, compared to that guy or gal over there. But God isn't judging you against someone else, he's judging you based on His standards. So the really nice person and the world-class jerk have the same basic problem.

There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
