Psalms 24:1 The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; Job 41:11 Whatever is under the whole heaven is mine.
Daniel 4:25 the Most High rules the kingdom of men and He gives it to whom he will.
These verses should remind God’s people everywhere that political and economic upheavals are in God’s hands not our own. We should also remember that it is in God whom we trust, and not man or men. Many in the Mormon faith have a skewed idea of end times events. Several times Mormon and polygamist prophets have set dates for the Second Coming, but of course their predictions failed, proving they were false prophets.
Hebrews 12:26-28 “At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”
The phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken—that is, things that have been made—in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. "Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe .."
Hebrews tells us that His kingdom cannot be shaken yet the validity of Mormonism depends upon a complete apostasy after Jesus and His disciples died. What or whom do we trust? The Bible and the Author of it, or Joseph Smith who claimed Jesus failed to keep His promises of the safe keeping of His church and His Gospel? God desires all to “come to the knowledge of the truth and that no one should perish” so we strive to get the attention of Mormon polygamists praying for them to turn to Jesus for eternal life, rather than polygamy and other mandated efforts.

MORMON POLYGAMY HISTORY
“During the first few years after the religion of Joseph Smith had begun to spread and gain
disciples, theocracy was not so firmly established, neither was there any difference manifest
between men and women. Both were earnest, sincere seekers for truth; determined, if possible, to find in the new religion what they fancied was denied them in the old. The principles taught, appeared to be pure and good,-belief in the divinity of the Saviour, equality, brotherly love, and other tenets of revealed religion.
One old Mormon said to the writer: " The
Saints were all they professed to be in early days. They fed the hungry, clothed the poor, feared God, and loved their neighbors as themselves. Of course, they had the utmost confidence in and reverence for their prophet, and like all innovators and impostors, he labored to exert the greatest possible influence over his dupes. And never did impostor succeed better. Men who were intelligent and otherwise strongminded became as submissive as children under his powerful hand. People often say that they now look back with the utmost amazement to those days, and marvel at the strange magnetic influence which this illiterate, wicked man possessed
over men and women of intelligence and education. That he was of loose and immoral character is conceded by his warmest friends, as well as his bitterest enemies. Even his successor, Brigham Young, said that Joseph was of mean birth, wild, intemperate, dishonest, and tricky; but for all that he was a prophet of the Lord. These inconsistencies may seem
strange to outsiders, but they are understood by those who are acquainted with the inner workings of Mormonism.
Brigham further said that these " trifling faults " were nothing against the religion which he had founded. The following are Brigham's exact words in this reference:
"I care not if he (Joseph) gamble, lie, swear, run horses, and marry women every day; for I embrace no man in my faith."
But the followers of Joseph were not all so blinded by his influence, neither had they become so corrupt, nor so lost to all principles of truth and honor as to sanction his unblushing
wickedness; so, in order to screen himself from the consequences of his iniquity, and at the same time retain his influence over his followers, he conceived the idea of obtaining the revelation on polygamy.”

NOTE: If Mormon converts knew their Bibles, they would not have been taken in by “present day prophets and new revelations.”
Hebrews 1:1-2 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son.
From a publication presenting reasons Utah should not be granted Statehood.
“The non-Mormons of Utah do not believe that the application for Statehood is made in good faith, or with any purpose of abandoning polygamy or of even punishing it; but it is their unanimous opinion that the admission of Utah as a State under control of the Mormon political party would result, first in loss of their personal rights and property, and, second, in an inevitable conflict with the Federal Government.
"The Mormons are a law to themselves, and respect no law which does not suit them, or which may conflict with their pretended revelations. They have never kept faith with any government or party...The Mormons seek Statehood to get out of the dilemma without submitting to the law; the non-Mormons of Utah appeal to Congress not to deliver them over to a majority which treats all others as enemies.” Utah Statehood, Reasons Why It Should Not Be Granted pgs 5-6, Salt Lake City Tribune, 1887
Matthew 7:18,20: A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Rulon Allred was the first “prophet/leader” of one of the largest and most powerful polygamy groups in the country. Some of our video programs we review a few of his sermons, comparing them with biblical doctrine. We continue to share some of this information with our readers
hopefully giving a better understanding of the relentless grip he has had and continues to have on polygamists even to this day.
Allred preached this:
“God ordained that that Kingdom should rule the earth in this day and age with an iron rod. And the day is at hand... my dear brothers and sisters, the promises of God and the prophecies of God shall not fail in any detail. . and it is within our power to keep the Commandments of God, to keep alive the organization of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the Holy Priesthood and the Kingdom of God.” Rulon C. Allred 1973, Treasures of Knowledge, pg 145
Allred preached that this Kingdom is the Mormon polygamy kingdom, and would rule the earth in THIS day and age - which means now, and he would rule with an iron rod. But, Jesus’ church is built by Him and ruled by God’s grace and love, not with an iron rod! Polygamists rule by fear.
Allred said “the day is at hand that polygamy groups will rule the earth.” His prophecy was presented 50 years ago. Note however that no Mormon polygamy group has ever ruled the earth!

ANSWER: We often mention that the mainline LDS church no longer practices polygamy but we also note they still believe in polygamy and in their temple marriage rituals they do “spiritually” marry one man to multiple wives which they believe he will have in heaven.
“I love your continued passion for all these years. Teaching the Bible, when these people carry it around, but don't believe it. What exact parts of the Bible was corrupted according to Mormons. They never say the parts that were corrupted, or how Christians corrupted parts of the Bible. Whatever books that they added do not match the Bible, but they say their books elevated the Bible. Impossible. The connection is lost.” --GS

TRUE CHURCH:
LDS: Only the Mormon Church is Christ’s true church. The true church was taken from the earth until Joseph Smith restored it. “Jesus named His Church today The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The words Latter-day show that this is the Church of Jesus Christ in a later time of the earth. Jesus said that this Church is the only true Church in the whole world and that He is pleased with it.” [Mormon]Gospel Fundamentals, 2002, p. 102.
BIBLE: Christ’s church is not an organization. All born-again Christians are God’s Church and are the Body of Christ.
Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
It cannot be known how much damage has been done to women and children as a result of the intense brainwashing they receive growing up in Mormon polygamy. Much of the damage is mental and spiritual. The unrelenting threats by religious leaders and parents damage the soul and the psyche and can last a lifetime. They teach members they are never to fail, always pre-sent a good front. They teach a person’s value is bound up in performance. Do as you’re told, and you’ll be blessed no matter how much it hurts you. What will people think of you if you fail?
They threaten God will wreak revenge on those who fail to be perfect. Repentance and forgiveness is never immediate and often is never understood or realized. People paste on a perfect façade, smile as if they have it all together. They pretend to have a perfect home, perfect children, a perfect marriage, a perfect sister-wife, perfect parents. Members are never to complain and are always reminded that God will reward their good efforts and good works.
The more they suffer the greater the reward God owes them in eternity. People need people, but in these groups, there’s no one to trust for encouragement or comfort. They are not taught that Jesus is our Comforter and it was Jesus who paid for every failure we experience. Polygamists don’t know that their personal value is not in performance but is in Jesus. He died for each of us proving He values the souls He died to save—that kind of value is unknown in the Mormon religion.
I know people who have suffered a lifetime fighting private fears, never trusting a confidante, and never knowing that its okay to fail and that admitting our failures to God brings His comfort and grace into our lives. Jesus was perfect for us.
We are accepted to Him and by Him when we are in Him.
Please pray for so many hurting souls, for the people who cannot express their deep need for acceptance without being a perfect human being. Jesus can set these “captives” free!
- Pray that God will bring more people to our Bible Study. Pray for the preparation and teaching in our study group.
- Pray for a teen-age plural wife and mother of two children. She is unhappy but her fear of losing eternal life and losing her family keeps her from leaving.
- Pray for an older couple who left a polygamy group many years ago and have rejected ‘religion’ altogether.
