Dear Praying Friends,

Isaiah 2:22  Stop regarding man in whose nostrils is breath, for of what account is he?

Throughout the Bible we are exhorted to trust God for spiritual truths, not men. God is Creator, He knows us better than we know ourselves. He has offered His wisdom and truth to His creatures and it is He alone we should trust and learn His way and do His will.

But Mormonism regards mere men on a higher level than ever they should. These mere men have changed Biblical grace into a salvation earned by works. Polygamists have created a gospel of polygamy even though God instituted monogamy. They insist upon sacrificing for God and in doing so, have marginalized His sacrifice for us.

For years the LDS church preached polygamy was required for eternal life, Joseph Smith taught it and so do polygamy groups. The LDS church has since denied polygamy is required—but does God’s plan for our eternal life change?

Both the LDS church and the Mormon Fundamentalists are wrong - if polygamy was essential then, it is now - if its not essential now it never was. God doesn't change, His salvation doesn't change and neither does his Savior change.  If polygamy was required to bring Mormons into eternal glory at any time in the past, it does now.  But, if it ever was required, polygamy becomes the savior - which leaves Jesus as just a poor victim of hatred and murder and is not The Savior at all.

Who is going to finally admit that there are several Mormon prophets that HAVE led the people astray?

We thank you for your support and prayers that enable us to bring Biblical truths to polygamists,

DID THEY REALLY SAY THAT?

Brigham Young declared:

"If women would not submit to polygamy they should be eternally damned, and when history shows that women who have resisted have often been murdered, the mystery of the non-resistance policy which they commonly pursue, is certainly cleared up. "Starve them, and beat them if necessary, to bring them to submission," said the Mormon apostles;" better crucify the body than let the soul go to perdition." Well was the method of these hypocrites characterized by a Mormon woman who said of one of them, "He is a man who steps on hearts as though he stepped on stones." ~  Women of Mormonism, p 6

Galatians 3:10
For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse;

MORMON POLYGAMY HISTORY

~~It all began with Joseph Smith~~

Prior to the fall of 1841, an angel reportedly appeared to Joseph Smith twice, commanding him to establish the principle of celestial marriage. But in the fall of 1841, the angel would return with sword in hand. Joseph had to establish the principle, or his position and very life were forfeit.

Something had changed. God could no longer permit Joseph to take his own sweet time establishing celestial marriage among members of the Church. In the final days of 1841
Joseph enlisted the aid of Dimick Huntington. Like Joseph Bates Noble, Dimick would remain true to Joseph beyond death.

The four women Joseph would marry in response to the angel’s threat were women who were married to other men.  ... It would be unreasonable to expect other single women to be satisfied with a marriage that didn’t involve physical intimacy. But these married women would be relieved if the celestial marriage were purely ceremonial.

Joseph Smith had proposed to Zina Huntington in the fall of 1840, when she was still single. Zina anguished over what she should do. Ultimately, Zina Huntington refused Joseph Smith’s proposal and wed Henry Jacobs in March 1841. Dr. John C. Bennett performed the ceremony.

Some months later, Joseph sent word to Zina via her brother, Dimick.  Joseph’s message was simple:

“Tell Zina, I put it off and put it off till an angel with a drawn sword stood by me and told me if I did not establish that principle upon the earth I would lose my position and my life.”

Zina was pregnant with Jacob’s child. The sealing took place on October 27, 1841,  after Zina received her own witness that the principle of celestial marriage was correct. Despite this testimony, she expected that by becoming Joseph’s celestial wife she would never again be looked upon as an honorable woman by those she dearly loved. One presumes she spoke of her husband, Henry Jacobs, and those of her siblings who knew about celestial marriage: Prescendia, Dimick, William, and Oliver. Dimick, having secured Zina for Joseph, proceeded to offer Joseph his other living sister, Presendia Huntington [Buell]. Presendia had married Norman Buell in the 1820s, … four of Presendia’s six children died in infancy. The promise that celestial marriage could bind children to parents would have had a strong appeal to Presendia.  The reward Dimick desired for giving Joseph his two sisters was “that where you and your fathers family are, there I and my fathers family may also be.”  https://www.millennialstar.org/angel-and-sword/

 The Bible says:
And you shall not take a woman as a rival wife to her sister, while her sister is still alive.  ~ Leviticus 18:18

FROM OUR MAILBOX:

“Yikes, polygamy sure isn't love nor natural.”  --CF

“I used to think that there might be some benefit to polygamy from those talking points.....you could have a best friend to share life with.....like a sister, but I know  better than that now from your show; Doris. No way would I be someone else's maid, workhorse, or my children mistreated or abused.” --P

“Long-suffering is not what the one and only true God intended for the monogamous covenant. Mormonism and their temples seem to have more in common with the biblical Babylon culture and nothing to do with Judaism/Christianity in any shape or form.”   --CR

“Very very sad that he thinks he, a mere obscure man, can insert himself between Jesus and His sheep. Heartbreaking that he seeks to overthrow people's faith in Christ.”  --SG

“In another words, "the angel of God" stood in front of Joseph Smith with 'a flaming sword' and MADE HIM to take multiple wives? I can't believe people in Joseph Smith time actually fell for such lie. I guess there were a lot of 'angels' trying to make converts back in the day, (sarcasm).” --EM

Praises & Prayer Requests:

  • PLEASE PRAY for ALL the polygamists in the Pinesdale Montana polygamous community to be set free from the doctrine of “Polygamy for Salvation.”

Pray for M&B, a polygamous couple who are “seeking.”  M has become a Christian, her husband hasn’t and he has a 2nd wife that also needs to be set free.

PRAY for “A” who has suffered tremendously in her exit from polygamy.  She knows Jesus and recognizes His miraculous deliverance for her freedom, but she needs deep healing and economic provision.

PRAY for a neglected and abused plural wife whose husband withholds needed funding and food from her and gives it to his first wife and her children.

PRAY for “B” - she has been ostracized by her polygamous friends and neighbors because she detests polygamy.  But she’s afraid of God’s retaliation if she leaves.  We’ve discussed privately about God’s deep and abiding love for her.  Pray she will read her Bible - see and understand what the “GOOD NEWS” truly is, and accept Jesus’ offer of eternal life.

Pray for “M” - with five children.  She knows polygamy is wrong and wants out, but she is emotionally attached to her polygamous husband.  She know she cannot serve two masters, pray she will have the strength and courage to choose Jesus.

Last Month we noted that the Book entitled UNDER THE BANNER OF HEAVEN has been released in streaming video on Hulu. Since its release there have been varied comments about it contents.

Dustin Lance Black who is the screenwriter for the adaptation of the book to video said: “If the Mormon church is unhappy with me for doing this, they have themselves to blame. The Mormon Church taught me if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing right.your shoulder to the wheel. And I have worked really hard to get it right.”

And though he believes he has adequately distinguished between fundamentalist Mormons and mainstream Mormons, Black adds, “I also have been honest about the fact that they share a lot in common, and that many of the things they share in common are misogynistic, dangerous and potentially deadly.”   - latimes.com
