Leviticus 18:6: None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness:...

The original language from which the Old Testament was translated is Hebrew. There is a book called Strongs Concordance which lists every single English word which has been translated from Hebrew into English and it also gives the definition of each word.

Leviticus 18:6 has two particular words and one particular phrase which are the reasons for this pamphlet. They are:

1. “Shall approach”

2. “Uncover”

3. “Nakedness”

From the original language of Hebrew we can easily discover the meaning of those words, they are:

1. Shall approach means to come near as in having sexual relations.

2. Uncover means to lay bare.

3. Nakedness means to be without clothing.

Leviticus chapter 18 has a lot of verses using the above words. In doing an honest study of the chapter, we learn which sexual practices are displeasing to God. Read verses 6 through 22 you will find that God has said:

• Not to have sex with your father or mother

• Not to have sex with your father’s wife

• Not to have sex with your sister or half-sister

• Not to have sex with your granddaughters

• Not to have sex with your half sister

• Not to have sex with your aunt on your father’s or mother’s side

Deuteronomy 27:22: Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother.

• Not to have sex with your father’s brother’s wife

• Not to have sex with your son’s wife

• Not to have sex with your brother’s wife

• Not to have sex with a woman AND her daughter and granddaughters

• Not to have sex with your wife’s sister

• Not to have sex with another man’s wife

• Homosexuality is also forbidden

God says that people who do these things are a defilement and are an abomination to Him. He said the land vomits out those who practice these things and that He Himself will “Spew” them out!

All of the sexual abominations which God has listed in Leviticus Chapter 18 can be put into one categorical word:

He says those who live this way will be cursed! These practices were an abomination to God then and they are anabomination to God now:

Malachi 3:6: For I am the LORD, I change not...

God doesn’t change, and His requirements for us to live a moral life remains unchanged.

Deuteronomy 17:17 Neither shall he multiply wives to himself....

The New Testament has a lot to say about adultery, fornication and polygamy. God’s provision for sex was only in marriage and that to only one partner:

1 Corinthians 7:2 : Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

1 Timothy 3:2: A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife

1 Timothy 3:12: Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife,

Titus 1:6: If any be blameless, the husband of one wife,

Of course, deacons and bishops were the designated leaders in the church and were supposed to set the example for others to follow - notice none were to have more than one wife!

In the Old Testament, God gave the king of the Jewish nation a similar command: The King was the leader of the people, he was to be the example for the people. God has plainly given us His guidelines – no one is to live polygamy and no one is to commit incest. It is disgusting to God and causes Him to puke - that’s what “spewing” them out means!

The fact that men can and do abuse their own children, sisters and relatives proves that their hearts are deceitfully wicked and beyond cure –Jeremiah 17:9.

God’s patience is designed to bring the sinner to repentance. He is demonstrating His divine patience in waiting to punish the wickedness of incest within fundamentalist groups, that by waiting there may be some who will recognize their sins and turn to Jesus Christ in repentance and for forgiveness. However, the Bible says that His patience comes to an end and those who do not repent will experience God’s punishment.

When Joshua led the Israelites into the Promised Land, the people in the land were practicing all the abominable sexual activities we have mentioned here. God told Joshua:

Deuteronomy 7:1-2 When the LORD your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations— the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you —and when the LORD your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy.

Deuteronomy 20:16-17 However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. Completely destroy them..

WHY kill them all? Read Leviticus 18:26-30. All the people were condemned to be destroyed because of their incestuous sexual practices!

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee...seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

The Bible tells us that in the latter days, people will be without “natural affection” (a mothers’ love or a father’s love), and that evil men will go from bad to worse. This is finding fulfillment in the activities of many fundamentalist groups. For example: how can a mother passively and continuously allow her sons or her husband to sexually abuse her own daughters?

God told Isaiah that He will not allow His name to be defamed...and since much of the perverted sexual activity and child abuse within fundamentalism is being done in the Name of God and His Kingdom, He WILL put a stop to that His name will no longer be defamed....
